When we feel like we are not worth it or useless or not good enough, that’s when we are most usable. Think about it. How many times did you or someone you know think that they had it all figured out? But in the end, couldn’t be further form it? Just like Proverbs 16:18 says, we might not know the address but we know the content.
“Pride goes before destruction and haughtiness before a fall.”
If we could just let go of pride and the “holier then thou art” mentality and just focus on what God really has for us, and then dig deeper into Him and His word. We’ll realize that we will never be good enough, we can never reach the insurmountable odd stacked up against us, and that the mountains we face are way to high for us to climb. But that’s ok.
In Mark 2:17 Christ says,
“I came not for the ones who THINK they are righteous. But for those who KNOW that they are sinners.”
And what makes it even easier is the fact that we were never made to do this alone.
Ecclesiastes 4:9 says,
“Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help.”
And it all starts with admittance. Admit that we are all sinners. And the rest will follow; Believe that Christ is the Son of God, confess that we have not and will never be good enough to make it on our own and finally decide to follow and live for Him.
And don’t forget, to keep on worshiping!
